G'day. Could any reader please tell me the name of the large Boy Scout camp-site that is (or was) to the northwest of Pyecombe?
I was a patrol leader with the 10th Brighton and used to camp there during holiday long weekends clearing the site back in the Fifties.
I was telling a couple of the Aussie grandchildren about those days but the story rather fell flat when I could not remember the name of the site.
Could I also inquire if there still is a 10th Brighton? We were at the end of Compton Avenue and the skipper was a Mr Wadey, a really nice bloke.
