Stuart Hardy has re-signed for Horsham and is on course for a comeback against Windsor and Eton tomorrow.
Hardy, such a key player in Horsham's high-flying side last season, has returned from a trip to the United States and is being lined up for a midfield role in the division one south clash.
Boss John Maggs said: "Stuart arrived back on Wednesday night and got in touch.
"He is still not sure whether he will stay here but my gut feeling is he will."
Hardy's presence and the anticipated return of Gavin Geddes and Gary Charman after flu will allow Maggs to field an attacking line-up and give Steve Payne more time to get over his recent illness.
Florian Mateos plays his last game before a Christmas break in his native France as Worthing look to resume winning form at home to Egham.
Tom Graves and Ben Carrington are both doubtful after taking knocks in recent games but Mark Knee has made a quicker recovery than expected after his nasty eye injury and is a definite starter.
