Every Christmas, we are encouraged to spend more and more on presents. For grandparents, this can be a particularly hard time of the year if money is short.
A survey undertaken by the National Association of Citizens' Advice Bureaux has revealed that many pensioners are unaware of what money they are entitled to and many are missing out on an extra £12.80. For some, it may be as much as an extra £100 a week.
If you are unclear as to what your entitlements are, an easy way to find out is to visit or call your local Citizens' Advice Bureau when it re-opens after Christmas.
