I am flattered indeed to be eulogised by your correspondent Alfred E Newman of Underdown Road, Southwick (Letters, December 20).
I wonder if, perhaps, he is in any way related to the similarly-named famous American Alfred E Neuman, whose whimsy has delighted two generations of readers of Mad magazine?
If so, then I am doubly honoured.
