Regarding Gavin Kennedy's response (Letters, December 19) to my points about council taxes being switched to the North from the South, I suggest he reads again what was actually written, instead of assuming what was written.
All I asked was what Labour councillors' views on it are, and said they seemed conspicuous by their silence (still no response from any councillors on this page).
Mr Kennedy writes: "This is yet another example of Tory moans, spin and mud-slinging that fills these pages from Conservative supporters, candidates and councillors." He is wrong again.
For the record, Gavin - wait for it - I have been a Labour supporter all my voting life and I still am.
I may not agree on every issue but that is what the Labour Party and free speech is all about.
