St Leonards remain second from bottom in the eastern division after suffering a tenth consecutive league defeat with a 3-1 reverse against Sittingbourne at the Firs.
The home side took a deserved lead on 15 minutes through Sean Ray who fired in from close range after Roy Godden's header had been saved.
Sittingbourne hit back with a disputed goal nine minutes later when Tyrone King seemed to receive the ball in an offside position before slotting past Peter Newstead.
King gave the visitors the lead with a glancing header after 35 minutes and Kieran Marsh wrapped it up with a delicate lob 19 minutes into the second half.
Saints manager Terry White said: "Only one person in the ground thought their first goal wasn't offside and unfortunately that was the linesman.
"But that's the way it's going for us at the moment and it's beginning to get me down."
