Lewes boss Jimmy Quinn believes there is more to come from striker Matt Allen.
The frontman has bagged six goals in 11 games, a number of them as substitute, since joining the Rooks from Eastbourne Borough for £2,250 in November.
His latest was a 73rd minute winner after coming on as a substitute against Croydon Athletic on Saturday.
Quinn said: "Matt is still finding his fitness. We are hoping he will be firing on all cylinders by the start of the New Year.
"He scored a cracker on Saturday and we hope he can carry it on.
"We are expecting more from him because he hasn't been playing at his best for obvious reasons so far this season."
Allen is not guaranteed a starting place when Lewes visit Horsham for their Boxing Day derby.
Quinn has a number of options for his striking positions. Dominic Barclay partnered Lee Newman against Croydon Athletic with Allen and Germain Amanuel coming off the bench. Tony Reid is another option and the versatile Gareth Green is available again after missing last Saturday's match as he was at a wedding.
Midfielder Ross Venables (ankle) has a 50-50 chance of being involved, but defender Tony Chin completes a four-match suspension.
Lewes go into the game a point and two places behind Horsham in division one south.
Dave Flemming and Gavin Geddes are competing for a place up front for Horsham.
Rob Collins is a certain starter after scoring in each of the last three games and Steve Payne did enough in 45 minutes at Windsor on Saturday to earn a place wide on the right.
That means Geddes, who looked off colour on Saturday, and Flemming must hope to take the other striking role.
Stuart Hardy is expected to replace James Grant in midfield and left-sided Gary Charman should start though he too has been suffering with the after effects of flu.
Midfielder Keith Mtambara is banned and Lee Carney still injured.
Matthew May has been told to put the lessons he has learnt to good use in the West Sussex derby.
The young Worthing goalkeeper was left on the bench for Saturday's 0-0 draw with Egham as John Keeley earned a surprise recall.
Keeley is back on duty as Albion kitman on Boxing Day as Rebels visit traditional rivals Bognor.
Lloyd said: "Matty had lost his way in the last couple of games.
"I asked him to sit on the bench and watch John. Now we will see what he has learnt."
Tom Graves and Ben Carrington are both doubtful with ankle problems. Matt Russell headed Rocks' winner when they beat their rivals in the FA Cup in August and he would love to spoil May's comeback.
He said: "We were disappointed to lose at Whyteleafe last week having done so well to get into second place in the table. We're desperate to get a result against Worthing."
