Police are mystified by the disappearance of an Italian man who went missing after flying into Gatwick.
Luigi Pesenti, who speaks no English, arrived on a flight from Florence at lunchtime on Monday and has not been seen since.
Police are doubly concerned because the 37-year-old man has learning difficulties.
Mr Pesenti was due to meet his brother Adrian and was last seen disembarking.
It is unclear whether he came through immigration before he went missing.
Police say the missing man is 6ft, of stocky build, with blue eyes, a shaven head and an earring in his left ear.
He was last seen wearing a rusty brown coloured raincoat and similar coloured trousers, black shoes with yellow socks and carrying a blue holdall.
A police spokesman said: "There is concern for Luigi as he has learning difficulties and cannot speak English. We need to know where he has gone."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Gatwick Police on 0845 6070999.
