I read with interest that Brighton and Hove Councillor Chris Morley says the issue of sewage should be faced squarely.
This, for Coun Morley, includes finding all sites within the city boundary for a sewage plant to be unsuitable but for Newhaven it would be okay.
May I remind him and all other Brighton and Hove citizens that you are producing the sewage and flushing it into Newhaven's back yard is not acceptable. Brighton and Hove should deal with its own environmental problems within its own boundaries and not dump its sewage and rubbish on Newhaven.
Newhaven has its own ongoing redevelopment programme to make it a better place for its citizens. Our local "big brothers" should leave Newhaven alone and not attempt to destroy our environment.
They say where there is muck there is money. In Newhaven, we pay one of the highest council tax rates and then are expected to take all the muck.
