The first pictures and details of a new Chichester-built Rolls-Royce are about to be unveiled.
The car will be the first new model to be built by German car giant BMW at its £65 million Rolls-Royce facility at Goodwood near Chichester.
There was anger from conservationists when the plant was given the go-ahead, with fears the countryside would be ruined.
The Goodwood plant - close to where the marque's co-founder Sir Henry Royce once lived - will turn out about 1,000 Rolls-Royces a year.
The engines and bodies are being delivered complete to Goodwood where the cars will be painted and assembled by a workforce of 350. Wood and leather trim are manufactured there from scratch.
The new model is expected to be 19ft long and powered by a 6.75 litre V12 engine. The price is expected to be about £150,000.
Details and pictures of the first BMW-built Rolls-Royce will be released on Friday.
Members of the public will get their first glimpse at the Detroit Motor Show in America next Monday.
