Bognor romped to a 5-1 victory at struggling Molesey after fighting back from a goal down as they returned to division one south action.
The Rocks started positively with Michael Birmingham denied when home keeper Ben Harris raced from his line to smother his effort in the opening ten minutes.
Matt Russell then sent an effort from a James Ford cross straight at Harris.
Molesey took a surprise lead with their first attack after 12 minutes when Nko Ekoko's cross flicked off the head of Rob O'Shaunessey into the path of Mazin Ahmad who was able to slot home at the far post under the dive of debut-making Bognor keeper Dave Kirby.
Two minutes later Rockes levelled when Richard Hudson's corner was met by John Rucker and although his initial effort was blocked on the line, Birmingham was eventually able to scramble the ball home.
Leading scorer Russell gave Bognor the lead on 20 minutes when he steered home a Hudson cross at the far post.
Bognor looked capable of adding to their tally before the break but Harris ensured the home side went in trailing by a single goal as he denied Russell and Lee Stevens.
The Rocks also had penalty claims waved away after Stevens' cross appeared to be handled.
Fifteen minutes after the break Bognor extended their lead when a well-worked move saw Hudson let fly from 25-yards out with an effort into the far corner.
Bognor made it 4-1 on 66 minutes after Hudson fed Stevens up the line and his shot from the angle of the box was squeezed home at the far post by Russell.
Bognor's fifth came in the 82nd minute and this time there was nothing Harris could do to deny Jon Tucker as he powerfully headed home a Hudson cross at the far post.
Rocks boss Jack Pearce said: "I was pleased with our response after the disappointing setback at Whyteleafe. I thought our forward line was excellent and all round we worked hard at closing them down."
