FIingerprint analysis has failed to reveal the identity of a body found washed up at Brighton Marina.
The body of a man was discovered by coastguards during a training exercise on December 22 but police have so far been unable to name him.
The man's fingerprints were fed into the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System but no match was found.
A post-mortem will be carried out this week to discover how the mystery man died but police are so far not treating the incident as suspicious.
A police spokeswoman said: "Hopefully, the post-mortem will give us some clues about how he came to be in the water."
