A record entry of 42 teams will contest the Sussex Interleague championships at the Six Villages Sports Centre, Fontwell, this weekend.
Crawley are sending Sussex No. 1 Ritchie Venner and county champion Mayur Majithia to contest the men's senior event.
Crawley are favourites to claim the trophy but can expect plenty of opposition from Worthing pair, Peter Bartram and Andy Walker.
The top seeded town in the women's event is Hastings, who are represented by Rose Rainton and Sheila King.
Crawley's veteran team of Fawzi Yousif, John Clarke and Andy Meads have plenty of experience and power.
The majority of Sussex leagues are expected to vote for maintaining the status quo at the English Table Tennis Association elections of the three principal officers.
At last week's meeting of the Sussex TTA at Patcham, the single vote allocated to the county was in favour of present chairman, Alan Ransome, by seven votes to one, with a couple of abstentions.
