It seems barbaric a woman having recently given birth to a child needing urgent specialist medical assistance in London should be forced to travel by train to the city to be with her baby (The Argus, December 31).

It is painful enough for a fit person to travel on trains from Hove or Brighton but for someone recovering from giving birth to have to do so is absolutely intolerable.

May we have some pictures of the persons responsible for this outrage? They clearly should not be employed in the health service at any level.
