Police have named the elderly couple who died in a car crash on New Year's Eve.
Alan Thomsett, 77, and his wife June, 70, of Horsham Road, Findon, near Worthing, were killed in a head-on collision at 2pm.
The crash happened on the A24 Horsham Road, Findon, just south of the Washington roundabout, a few minutes' drive from their home.
A police spokesman said: "The couple were in a Mitsubishi Colt travelling south, which was in collision with a Jaguar XJR saloon travelling north.
"The male driver of the Jaguar suffered slight injuries which did not require hospital treatment."
Sergeant Jo Jones said: "A couple of witnesses have come forward. We know what happened but we are trying to piece together why it happened."
The A24 has become notorious for head-collisions in recent years.
