A very old proverb reads "Time and tide waits for no man".
After the West Pier having been neglected for more than 25 years, Nature has proved the sea is very powerful and all the talk of what needs to be done or should be done has come to nought.
It is sad to see the pier end this way and so rather wait for the sea to win completely, the pier should be demolished.
Past discussions on what should have been done with nothing being done are reflected in the problems with the Albion's new stadium.
