People are being asked to nominate young David Beckhams and Tim Henmans for the Arun Youth Sport Achievement Awards.
The aim of the awards is to recognise young sportsmen or women up to the age of 20 who have made an outstanding achievement throughout the district in the past year.
Nominations can be made by parents, coaches, teachers, friends and family.
To be eligible for nomination, youngsters must belong to a club within the Arun district or be a resident in Arun and attend a club outside the district where there is no direct provision within Arun.
The categories include dedication to sport, for which recipients are recognised for their potential and dedication to their sport, and gold awards for youngsters who have competed successfully at national or international level.
Nominations are also needed for team of the year, coach of the year and volunteer of the year.
A new category this year is the Bognor Hotham fair play award for a young person or team that has shown the true spirit of sportsmanship through fair play.
Nominations should reach the council offices in Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, by Monday.
An awards evening will take place at the Arena Sports Centre in Bognor on February 18, where there will also be demonstrations of different sports and the chance to find out about activities on offer in Arun.
