A football match is being staged in memory of a promising university student who drowned while surfing on a dream holiday.
Stuart Randall, 21, was on a threemonth volunteer project to Ecuador when he was swept out to sea by a riptide.
His body was found on a beach six days later.
It was the first time Stuart, from Worthing, who was studying civil engineering at Bristol University, had tried the sport.
An inquest on him at Worthing Hospital was told he had been surfing with friends in Montanita on August 1 last year when the tragedy happened.
Stuart's mother Maggie Randall, 49, of Windsor Road, Worthing, and his sister Laura are expected to attend the match between St Mary's FC and Findon CC at Worthing Leisure Centre on Sunday at 1.15pm.
Stuart was a popular member of both clubs.
