It was good to see The Poseidon Adventure on TV again on Saturday, although it was unrealistic because the amount of burning fire in the ship would have used up all the oxygen and there would have been none for the passengers - and when the Reverend Frank Scott (Gene Hackman) jumped on to the valve wheel at the end and committed suicide, he would not have been able to turn it because it would be like touching a scalding kettle and the flesh on his hands would have been burnt off.
