After a new year spent in China touring with the Royal Philharmonic, Barry Wordsworth, musical director of the Brighton Philharmonic, is back in Sussex.

On Friday January 17, Wordsworth deserts the Brighton Philharmonic for another outing with the Royal Philharmonic, this time at Chichester.

He will team up with Brighton resident Joanna MacGregor for a performance of Beethoven's fourth piano concerto and will also conduct John Adams' The Chairman Dances and Dvorak's Symphony No 8.

On Sunday January 19, he will be back at the Dome with the Brighton Philharmonic for performances of Mozart's Symphony and Beethoven's Pastoral and Richard Strauss' first horn concerto with soloist David Pyatt.
