Horsham slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Egham Town on a frozen pitch at Queen Street and manager John Maggs admitted it was a body blow to his promotion chasing side.
The game was the only one to survive the weather in division one south with Bognor and Worthing both off.
Horsham got off to a good start when Rob Collins scored after a scramble involving team-mate Gavin Geddes and Egham keeper Leighton Bull saw the ball break loose.
Egham equalised three minutes later when Paul Reed fired past keeper Ian Chatfield unchallenged.
The visitors completed their league double over Horsham when Matt Edwards blasted home the winner from two yards on 68 minutes following Reed's low ball into the area.
Maggs said: "That's a body blow, losing at home again.
"We should have won the game in the first half but credit to Egham, they are a hard side to break down and you don't win matches if you can't score open goals.
"This tells us that there is still a lot of hard work to be done. "
