The Maxtor Personal Storage 5000DV 200GB/7200PRM is complete with an 8MB cache for super-fast data handling.
It has an on-board backup facility (the Maxtor OneTouch system) that enables users to make back-up copies of files and applications on their desktop or laptop with a push of a button.
The Maxtor 5000DV is Mac and PC compatible, with both FireWire (IEEE 1394) and USB 2.0 interfaces making it extremely versatile.
What I liked best about the Maxtor 5000DV is it can store more than 200 hours of compressed digital videos or up to 200,000 high resolution digital photos and yet access was as if they were on my PC's hard drive.
