A dance troupe has the world at its feet after two-stepping away with a pair of global championship titles.
Members of Eclipse lived up to their name and beat the rest of the competition at the World Country Dancing Championships in Nashville, USA.
The Peacehaven-based line dancing team won large and small troupe titles, beating the US champions Fire and Ice, who appeared in the opening ceremony of the Salt Lake City winter olympics.
The group also won world individual and couples world titles. They were Kelly Sweet, 14, Stacey Poulter, 17, Simone Anderson, 35, Marie Bloomfield, 23, Howard Lawrence, 11, and Leigh Welch, 12.
Eclipse is coached by former world champion and international judge Cheryl Poulter, who teaches at her newly-opened Studio 54 in Hoyle Road, Peacehaven.
She said: "I'm very, very pleased with what they have achieved."
Members of Eclipse range from six-year-olds to pensioners but most of the dancers are teenagers.
James Lawrence, spokesman for the group said: "It's only the second competitive year for Eclipse and they have done incredibly well."
