A man arrested in connection with a rape of a student at Sussex University has been freed on bail.
The suspect, 54 and from Brighton, was questioned in connection with an attack on a 20-year-old student on Saturday.
He has been released to return to the John Street police station on February 17.
The undergraduate was assaulted on campus between 12.30am and 1.30am on Saturday. She was walking past Bramber House, Falmer, when she was bundled down a flight of stairs.
The man threatened to kill her before assaulting her and running away. The student tried to fight him off and bit his neck, drawing blood, before he escaped.
The university has stepped up security and gave police CCTV footage from the time of the attack.
