When Falmer was a failing secondary school, it was hard to imagine many students achieving much academic success.
But pupil Rachel West, from Bevendean in Brighton, who studies science, has been offered a place at Oxford provided she fares well in her A-levels.
Those dreaming spires should become a reality for Rachel thanks to hard work and inspired teachers who made Falmer believe in itself.
