Plans for a mail order sex shop on an industrial estate have sparked protests from neighbouring firms.
Three objections have been received to the scheme, earmarked for Unit 8, Modern Moulds Business Centre, Commerce Way, on the Lancing Business Park, formerly the Churchill Industrial Estate.
The protesters said the sex shop would be seriously detrimental to other businesses in the building and would damage the credibility and desirability of the park as a whole.
They also argued against it on moral grounds.
The application was tabled by Timothy Richardson, of St Nicholas Road, Brighton, who said the estimated turnover from the sale of clothing, magazines, DVDs, videos and marital aids was £35,000 a year.
He said the premises would not be open to the general public, adding:
"No displays or advertisements would be exhibited. The premises are on the first floor and cannot be seen by passers-by. The site chosen is on an industrial estate which is not near any schools or places of worship."
Adur planners will consider the application on Wednesday.
