Among my memories of the West Pier is fishing from the landing stage in the Fifties, when some fine specimens were landed, some so heavy they had to be dragged ashore.
Does any other reader remember Professor Jaben who, at high tide, was given to high diving into the sea between the pierhead and the landing stages, to the annoyance of fishermen?
Can anyone tell me more about him?
