An artist will deliver himself in a box by express mail to the Tate Britain gallery on Saturday - in the name of art.
Dan Shelton will be sealed in the box and taken by a Securicor mail van from Brighton to London.
Dan, 23, of Hanover, Brighton, scooped £10,000 as winner of the Creative Minority Award, a competition exploring how artists are viewed by society.
It was his performance art idea of posting himself to the gallery which won him the prize.
His aim was to challenge the view that artists have less value than their art.
Dan, one of 100 faces featured by The Argus to mark the bid for city status, said he was also planning to enter his idea for the Turner Prize.
He said: "I wanted to patent myself to raise questions about copyright and who we are owned by but I found out people can't be patented, only ideas.
"Instead, I'm going to patent the film we will make of the event."
The trained actor said he had already spent most of the winnings.
He said: "It cost £150 just to get delivered to London and the whole event is costing thousands so there won't be much left over."
