I find it quite surprising to see both David Lepper MP, his wife Councillor Lepper and the current councillors in Preston Park, Brighton, suddenly campaigning against post office closures.
Is this the same David Lepper who, with his Labour counterparts in Westminster, actually voted for the measure to pay sub-postmasters compensation to close post offices while the Conservative opposition voted against? It seems a bit late for Labour to now complain that post offices are being shut locally. I think you have already let the horse bolt, Mr Lepper.
The sad case of the Post Office shows how the Government has truly failed to deliver any first-class public services despite all the promises and expensive consultants.
