Chichester gained a hard earned point from a 3-3 draw with Richmond which leaves them just above the relegation zone in South Premier division one.
Chichester found themselves behind after just 60 seconds without having even touched the ball.
With short corner specialist Peter Turner and in-form striker Adam Beere both out through injury, the following 69 minutes looked rather bleak.
However, Chi set about defending their unbeaten home record and a response to the early deficit came in the form of two consecutive short corners.
The first went astray but the second gave Paul Robinson his first goal for the first team as his powerful strike was deflected past the goalkeeper.
Richmond regained the lead before half-time but Chi rallied again after the interval with Sam Beere controlling the centre of the pitch and Brian Lock cutting through the defence.
A second equaliser arrived when player-coach Neil Pendle unlocked the visitors' defence with pace and skill to make it 2-2.
The final 15 minutes became a dog fight. The visitors went ahead for a third time but Lock secured a valuable point five minutes from time with a composed strike.
