Like many of the mature residents of Saltdean, my father fought long and hard 60 years ago to save this country from the horrors of Nazism and to make sure we remained free.
He didn't risk his life so this country could be turned into a foreign land and overrun with every Tom, Dick and Harry that cares to drop in uninvited. Politicians smile sweetly when asylum-seekers are given hotel accommodation at Gatwick Airport at Christmas, when their concerns should be for the thousands who are in second-rate B&B accommodation in this country.
