Police found 60 ecstasy pills at a house after bouncers caught a man trying to take drugs into a nightclub, Worthing magistrates heard.
Glenn Wright, 24, of Meadow Road, Worthing, was searched by door staff at XS nightclub in Railway Approach, Worthing, on November 16 last year.
They found four white tablets and called the police.
At Monday's court hearing, Claire Ellis, prosecuting, said: "Wright was arrested and taken to the custody suite.
"His home address was searched and a further 60 tablets and some dark resin was found.
"He said all the tablets were ecstasy, all the resin was cannabis and they were all substances for his personal use."
Wright pleaded guilty to two charges of possessing class A drugs and one of possessing cannabis.
The case was adjourned until February 25 when Matthew Baines, defending, asked for pre-sentence reports to be made.
Wright was released on unconditional bail.
