Sussex Learning and Skills Council (LSC) is partnering with Wired Sussex to improve skills in the growing new media sector.
The Brighton-based business development agency will work on three strands of the LSC's Learning Pays! education and training scheme.
The items include the bid for City College Brighton and Hove to become a centre of vocational excellence (Cove) in media, brokerage of the Game Girl initiative and two seminars.
The Game Girl initiative aims to increase the number of women aged 14 to 25 entering the gaming industry or related training.
The Education Department's Cove initiative develops new and existing vocational training based on the needs of employers.
The seminar events will focus on ways to ensure the future stability of the sector.
There are an estimated 6,500 people working in new media in Sussex.
It is projected an extra 3,000 graduates in the next three years will be needed to meet the growth expectations of local companies.
