A widow who died after colliding with a jogger has been named.
Constance Kerr, 91, was walking to a friend's house after leaving her nursing home at Bethune Court in Boscobel Road, St Leonards, when she was bumped into in Pevensey Road.
Mrs Kerr, who regularly made trips out, arrived later than expected with a slight bump on her head.
Later, she complained of a headache and, after her condition worsened, a doctor was called. She died just after midnight yesterday at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings.
Police are appealing for a couple in a car who gave her a lift to a friend's house to come forward.
A post-mortem examination is yet to be carried out.
Anyone with information should call Hastings CID on 0845 6070 999 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
