Jimmy and Katie Spill were told to spice up their love life on television last night.
The couple were thrust into the media spotlight in a fly-on-the-wall docusoap about relationships.
Millions of TV viewers watched as their marriage was put to the test in a programme called Made For Each Other?
Cameras followed the couple's every move for a week and their relationship was assessed by celebrity divorce lawyer Vanessa Lloyd Platt and psychotherapist Malcolm Stern.
Childhood sweethearts Jimmy and Katie, from Uckfield, have been together for ten years, have two children and have lived in Sussex all their lives.
Katie revealed how she wanted to emigrate but Jimmy was not so keen.
The half-hour programme was the first in a series of six for Channel 4, each featuring different couples.
Ms Lloyd Platt gave the pair expert advice: "Look Jimmy, what Katie wants is for you to pick her up, throw her on the bed and do the business."
A gobsmacked Jimmy turned to his wife, who agreed.
Over two weeks, Katie complimented her husband 22 times but got little in return.
Ms Lloyd Platt said: "What is great about this programme is that these are common problems across the country so people think, 'Oh my God, I do that'."
