Gilad Atzmon's Extended Orient House Ensemble
This giant of the saxophone world has boosted his formidable band to a seven-piece, with MarcelMamaliga on violin, Romano Viazzanii on accordion and Reem Kelani on vocals. Brighton Jazz Club at Sussex Arts Club, February 7, 8pm.
Dean St Underground Orchestra
Saxophonist Tim Garland's 11-piece band will be playing Kenny Wheeler music, featuring Kenny on flugelhorn and Perico Sambeat on alto, plus star US guests Geoff Keezer and Jeff Ballard. Pavilion Theatre, Brighton, February 10, 8pm.
Sue McCreeth Quartet
Atmospheric singer promotes her acclaimed debut CD with a top band featuring Dave Green on double bass, John Donaldson on piano and Steve Brown on drums. Hare & Hounds, Portland Road, Worthing, February 11 at 8.30pm. Admission free.
Antonio Forcione Quartet
Award-winning guitarist and Radio 4 stalwart has a strong line-up featuring cello and percussion, covering acoustic guitar music from Spain, South America and beyond. Komedia, Brighton, February 12, 8pm.
Don Rendell/Brian White Quintet
Saxophonist Don can be considered one of the originators of the UK modern jazz scene. A true innovator on the saxophone, he worked with Billie Holiday on a UK tour. Lewes Jazz Club, High Street, Thursday, 8pm.
