I read with interest that a reunion is to be held for the staff who worked for Radio Brighton in its earliest days (The Argus, January 30).
It was one of the first radio stations in the UK. Among the guest stars who will be at the reunion will be Bob Gunnell and Kate Adie.
The reunion is to be held at the Old Ship hotel, Brighton seafront, on May 18. I have pleasant memories of the Old Ship, too - such memories perhaps better forgotten.
I have devoted a chapter on my broadcast in the Royal Pavilion in my autobiography, The Crowd Roars, published by QueenSpark Books of Brighton. Best of luck to the reunion.
The food is excellent at the Old Ship - much more palatable than electric light-bulbs, I assure you.
