Bears under-14s scored a win double after welcoming Kingston and Reading to Sussex.
They opened with a 43-21 success over Kingston, leading virtually the whole way. Bears went on a 12-2 run in the first quarter and kept it going to lead 39-17 at the end of the fourth.
The contest then rather fizzled out with the teams sharing just eight points in the fourth.
Top scorers: Ben Mockford 11, Matt Watson 7, Greg Knowlton 6.
The second game against Reading started with some good post play from Matt Watson, who scored the first five points.
Joe Flynn made it 7-0 at the end of the quarter.
The second period was dominated by Ben Mockford, who scored 11 of his 17 points to move the Bears into a 24 -14 lead at the half. Good offensive teamwork kept the Bears up throughout to finish 52-38 ahead.

All teams apart from the under-14s are in action tomorrow. The under-13s have a home tournament at Angmering, from 10am until 2pm.
They will be followed by the juniors, who host Colchester, and cadets, who meet Hackney. The under-15s have an away tournament.
