With a group of seven other people, I went to see the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion at the Brighton Corn Exchange on Saturday, February 1.
I go out to see bands all the time but this venue is the worst I have come across.
Apart from the no-smoking policy (and lots of peed-off punters outside), you would expect the bars to be of a much larger size, given the capacity is 1,000 people.
It took me a good 20 minutes before I got served my first pint. And, to top it all, the acoustics were absolutely disastrous.
We were all looking forward to a great night out but, three songs in, decided there was no point in staying.
We won't be visiting the Corn Exchange again until some major improvements have been undertaken. What was that £22 million spent on?
