The dream of a Sussex promotion double in London Four South East is very much alive.

Bognor joined Chichester in the top two with a 7-5 win at Bromley on Saturday and now in-form Crawley are also talking of making a late charge.

Chichester played some of their best rugby of recent weeks as they won 41-0 at Beccehamian.

Jack Smallman, Liam O'Hagan, Simon Bradford, Tim Rogers and Alex Knight-Barnard all scored tries with Nick Stanton enjoying a good day with the boot.

Bognor skipper Karl Flynn rated the win at Bromley the toughest game his men have played all season.

Victory was down to a superb defensive display, plus a try in the corner by Andy Shipp on a rare attack.

Gareth Williams converted from touch and that proved vital with the hosts missing their conversion from close to the posts.

Bognor survived sin-binnings for Lee Williams and Luke Sullivan but Flynn said: "It was an outstanding victory."

This was Bromley's first home defeat in two years but they are now set to be deducted two points for fielding an unregistered player in a recent game.

Crawley are getting some good support at Willoughby Fields and served up five super tries in the 36-18 defeat of Hove, including a debut score for centre Lloyd Moore, who broke two tackles.

Lee Preston twice won races to touch down, with forwards Tony Parsons and Simon Matterface also crossing.

Andy Evans' boot completed the tally and coach Steve Silver said: "I am absolutely delighted with the team's spirit."

Hove were reduced to 14 men by injuries, including a broken collar bone for player/coach Rob Kift. Liam Leevey and Dick Swann scored their tries and Martin Lovell added a conversion and two penalties.
