The Worthing Branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society has presented two video cameras worth about £700 to medical researchers.
Members of the society travelled to the Neurodegenerative Research Centre at King's College, London, to meet principal Professor Peter Jenner and his deputy Dr Sarah Salvage.
The cameras will be used for detailed research into the disease.
Cash for the equipment was provided by Bill Edge, a member of the Worthing branch, who asked for money in lieu of flowers after the death of his wife, Rosemary, who suffered from Parkinson's.
The Worthing contingent was given an extensive tour of the centre, which has a worldwide reputation for the high quality of its research.
Doctors and postgraduate students come from all over the world to study developments in the treatment of the disease.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people attended a rock 'n' roll evening, called Jivemania, at the Pavilion Theatre, which was held in aid of the branch.
The event, which attracted people from as far afield as Norwich and Woking, raised about £1,200.
