A Scout and Guide band suffering from declining membership may have to fold after 26 years of entertaining the public.
Worthing District Scout and Guide Band instructor David Wakeford said: "We have tried all kinds of ways to attract new members over the past two years but we never seem to get enough.
"Playing an instrument doesn't seem to be very popular anymore."
The band started in 1976 as the 4th Worthing Scout Band.
Soon afterwards Guides were invited to join and at its peak it had more than 30 members, playing everywhere from Disneyland to Germany, including the Albert Hall in London.
Band leader Simon Bridge said "If we can find some new members soon, we are more than happy to continue but if not, can I take this opportunity to thank all past and present members and supporters for all their help.
"It's a shame it might have to finish."
The band meets at the Rose Wilmot Centre in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, every Wednesday between 7pm and 8pm.
