If your attempts to score on St Valentine's Day fail, don't worry. You can catch up for lost time by speed dating.
The latest craze from America, it's a way of meeting a phenomenal amount of potential partners in one night.
Working on the notion that "chemistry only takes a minute", the willing victims get to sit opposite each other for three minutes in which time they make up their minds about whether there's any chance of romance.
Armed with score cards, each individual makes a tick or a cross depending on how they feel about their date.
This is handed in at the end of the night and if there's a match, the organisers will pass on contact details.
As you will probably see who ticks you and who doesn't, this might be a bit scary but it at least sorts the wheat from the chaff double-quick.
And who knows, one of those ticks might be the start of something big?
Starts 7.30pm, tickets cost £20. Call 01273 647100.
