Haywards Heath are ready to take their title bid back to the Sussex coast as they chase a tenth successive win in London One.

Heath are considering switching their home game with Winchester to Hove Rec with their Whitemans Green ground still very wet.

Skipper Alex Meredith described Heath's home pitch as a quagmire and admitted the dry, flat expanses at Hove held a certain appeal to his free-running side.

Heath transferred their recent home game with Southend to Hove and the move paid off as they won 25-24.

Meredith said: "Winchester have got a big bunch of forwards so Hove might suit us down to the ground."

Versatile Andy Cook plays at outside centre in place of unavailable Giles Goodburn with Owen Ashton returning at full back.

There is also a return to the set-up for prop Adrian Cassidy who has rejoined the club and earned a place on the bench with some excellent displays in the second team.

Winchester are currently in the bottom four and, with Hertford and Southend also entertaining sides in the bottom half, it looks like a day of home bankers for the main contenders for national league rugby.
