Mike Gorman Trio: Pianist Mike is a big talent and is here with Jeremy Brown, double bass and Matt Skelton on drums. Brighton Jazz Club, Sussex Arts Club, February 14, 8pm.
Terry Seebrook Trio: A tribute to Bill Evans. This trio explore the work of Evans who composed many modern classics. With Paul Whitten on double bass and Spike Wells on drums. February 15, 8pm, The Chapel Royal, North Street, Brighton.
Elements: Pianist Joss Peach and violinist Ben Sarfas explore expressive jazz with Dave Trigwell on drums and Tom de Grunwald on double bass. February 17 at The Snowdrop, Lewes.
Joe Lee Wilson and the Joy of Jazz: US singer with a large personality. He has worked with Miles Davies, Freddie Hubbard and Archie Shepp. Featuring Dave Wickens on drums. February 18 at 8.30pm, Komedia, Brighton.
Alyson Green: A debut for this vocalist performing arrangements for ballads with the excellent rhythm section of Ron Parry, Godfrey Sheppard and Paul Busby. February 18, Hare and Hounds, Worthing 8.30pm and Pizza Express, Lewes, February 20 (duo).
