When my son was ten years old, he earned some money helping his dad. He said: "I want to take you, gran and pop to a show on the West Pier."
The night came, we took a No 38 bus to the bottom of West Street, crossed to the pier and made for the Concert Hall.
The show was Old Tyme Music Hall. I think it was Alan Gale and Co who were the entertainers.
What a wonderful evening we had. It was just like The Good Old Days on television.
