Bottom of the table Ilkeston dragged Hastings United into the relegation zone after a 3-1 win, only their fourth of the season.
The first half saw the home side start strongly, but United still had chances during the early exchanges. Home keeper Andy Love held onto a Danny Simmonds effort and Nick Hegley fired over.
Ilkeston took the lead on 16 minutes when Barry Woolley was left unmarked at a corner and headed past Dave King.
United came back well and levelled two minutes before the break when Chris Honey rifled home his first goal of the season.
King had kept out Chris Freestone's penalty on 38 minutes, harshly awarded for a tackle by Tony Burt, but instead of being lifted by the late first half strike Hastings went from bad to worse in the second period.
Pinned back in their own half for long spells they conceded a second when Freestone headed home from a free kick.
With 12 minutes to go United were put out of their misery when David Freeman bundled home the third from 10 yards after Hegley had been roasted down the right wing.
Hastings now sit just one place above the drop zone, five points ahead of Halesowen who have played a game less.
