The poem that follows was written by my daughter. She is an everyday 11-year-old schoolgirl, whose lifestyle is much the same as any other 11-year-old schoolgirl.
This very powerful poem was a real shock for me, not just because my daughter wrote it but also because it reminds us that while the adults and politicians of this world are dictating its life-or-death future, the innocent children are obviously becoming deeply affected.
I believe the children of the world are united in their cry for peace and wish to inherit a world they, too, can simply live in - if that's okay with the adults. This poem rocked the world of all who have seen it so far - including my daughter's school, The Littlehampton School - such is its power.

* The trigger:
Evil, a spark in someone's eye,
Catches and turns into a raging fire;
Anger swells, the flames get bigger,
A bomb has been hidden,
Now who has the trigger?
Nothing can stop this evil disease,
A tragic war, will this appease?
Innocent people from far and wide
End up in casualty waiting to die.
Not enough beds.
And the result of this?
Just more people dead.
It caught and turned into a raging fire;
Anger swelled and the flames grew bigger -
Thousands dead because of this trigger?
