Eastbourne Borough continued their quest for promotion from the eastern division with a 4-0 win against local rivals St Leonards at Priory Lane.
Borough cruised into a 3-0 half time lead but it could have been a lot more.
In the first 12 minutes, St Leonards keeper Greg Nessling was forced into three saves, all from Borough top scorer Scott Ramsay.
The visitors were going in with some hefty challenges and one such tackle led to a free-kick in a dangerous area on 17 minutes.
John Westcott's effort was deflected wide but from the resulting corner Ramsay fired home from close range.
Sean Ray had to clear off the line from Peter Baker before Borough scored twice in the space of two minutes.
On 28 minutes, Matt Crabb found his way into the box before being hacked down by Saints player-manager Gary Bowyer.
Skipper Daren Pearce scored from the spot.
Then, on 30 minutes, Baker's cross was superbly headed home by a diving Ramsay.
Two minutes after the break, Bowyer had to clear off the line from John Price's header before the same player hit the bar on 50 minutes.
St Leonards were in total disarray and again it was Nessling that saved them on 51 minutes from Matt Smart's shot.
Borough finally made it 4-0 on 59 minutes when Ramsay followed up Crabb's saved shot to claim his hat-trick.
Towards the end, Borough players were queuing up to score but complacent finishing prevented them from adding to the scoreline.
Meanwhile, Hastings United came from behind to beat local rivals Rye and Iden United 3-1 in the semi final of the Hastings Senior Cup.
Neil Winton put Rye ahead on 28 minutes and it remained that way until Chris Honey levelled on 65 minutes.
Joel Bevis put Hastings ahead on 81 minutes and Paul Ruddy made it 3-1 two minutes from time.
Crawley Town are trying to sign former Crystal Palace youngster James Hibburt from Ashford Town (Middlesex). The midfielder is a former England Youth team-mate of Michael Owen.
