I was delighted to read (The Argus, February 15) that the Briggs Unit has been formed at the General Hospital, Brighton, for patients to attend daily, instead of having to stay overnight in hospital.
They can be treated by a doctor and nursing staff for blood tests, heart tests and X-rays.
There is a very friendly and happy atmosphere with the staff and I feel very fortunate to have been sent there by my doctor.
It is going to be a valuable unit and I hope people will be grateful for such a helpful improvement. People attending know they are able to go home the same day.
